Islay, Scotland: Wild, wind-carved, and whisky-soaked. When Ardbeg asked us to capture its spirit, the island became our co-author. Fog grounded flights, forcing half the crew to find midnight beds and cross by powerboat at dawn. With Hot Icarus and Bright Signals, we set out not to sell whisky, but to film its essence — smoke, salt, fire, myth. Locals became our cast; the island our stage. What emerged was a cinematic love letter to Islay and Ardbeg.
